Applications for 2027 races are open.

We take applications for 2027 municipal, township, school board, and special elections across Ohio. Our board reviews every application and decides after the filing deadline for your race.

Races with a May 4, 2027 primary: petitions are due February 3, 2027.
Races without a primary, on the November 2, 2027 ballot: petitions are due August 4, 2027.
